The Boca neighborhood wherein I dwell is idiosyncratic to the point of absolute uniqueness. German Ryder Cup Manager Bernhard Langer lives in the gated community to one side of our ungated Colonnade, while Randy Moss and Chris Carter and Wayne Dyer live in the community on the other side. And kittycorner is the Regency Court of Boca Raton, on the corner of Yamato [named for the Japanese fishing community founded around 1900 on the beach] and Jog/Powerline Road. A Publix grocery store is the lynchpin of this mall, and on Sept. 23rd, a lucky buyer of a lottery ticket won $14 million grand prize in the Florida lottery.
Who won the money? So far, no one has claimed the money. And believe it or not, given the geritol-generation majority in this area, that is not a surprise. Someone is driving around with a ticket stub worth a lot of money.
Sure wish it were me!
"Much have I seen and known; cities of men And manners, climates, councils, governments, ...the fortune of us that are the moon's men doth ebb and flow like the sea, being govern'd, as the sea is, by the moon" [Henry IV, I.ii.31-33] HISTORY NEVER REPEATS ITSELF, BUT IT OFTEN RHYMES "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America." Otto von Bismarck
