UN Functionary Says Iraq Was Better Under Saddam

The UN is full of demented hate-America functionaries but there is a small-time
delusionary named Manfred Nowak who claims Iraq is now worse off than it was under Saddam.

Not that this worthy has ever bothered to visit Iraq. That would presumably affect his objectivity.

The BBC prints this hilarious delusional BS as though it is straight news. If it were favorable to the US, they would have been sure to put in some leftist commentary to hew to the party line. Nowak shows the stuff of which he is made:

Mr Nowak said he would like to visit Iraq in person, but the current situation would not allow him to prepare an accurate report, because it would not be safe to leave Baghdad's heavily guarded Green Zone where the Iraqi government and US leadership are situated.

Sounds like Manfred should be in line for the next Secretary General position after Kofi Annan. Shows all the requisite political correctness and moral fortitude.
