But wait! It wouldn't be a Canadian news story if it weren't PC'ed to the point of stultification. Read the following paras deep into the story, after dozens of eyewitness reports:
It is not the first time there has been a shooting in a Montreal college. In December 1989, Marc Lepine shot and killed 14 women and wounded several others at Ecole Polytechnique during a shooting rampage that ended when he took his own life.
In an interview on CBC Newsworld, Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe said he found out about the shootings shortly after 1 p.m.
"It’s tough to understand, that shouldn’t happen in a civilized society," he said.
Duceppe said while the motive for the assault is unclear he expressed concern about the amount of gun violence on television and said perhaps it influences some people to commit violent acts. "We have to look at more than what happened (in Montreal), how come those things happen?" asked Duceppe.
Of course, "Marc Lepine" was a pseudonym for Gamil Gharbi, the son of an Algerian Muslim immigrant Liess Gharbi. This wouldn't be relevent to the bewildered Duceppe, and the Canadians just don't like to admit they have a problem with Muslims, do they. In fact, like the Dutch, the Canadians inflated self-regard doesn't admit their problem with immigrants at all. Their multiculti obsession is all for the good. And if bad things happen with Muslim immigrants or even native-borns, that's swept under the rug, just like it is on the similarly brain-dead Left Coast of the USA.
And when bad news happens in Canada, it's "the Americans' fault." Yes, the spine-challenged dwellers in the great white north believe the borders are too porous for guns purchased in America, according to the philosophe Wolf Blitzer [a Buffalo NY native].
Keep watching for developments, as the Canadian media try to mince around the truth concerning whatever did happen up there in Montreal.
