Edward Cohen Principal Owner of Washinton Nationals

Eddie Cohen was a buddy whom I hung out with when I was an FSO attending the Foreign Service Institute in DC during the '70s. He attended our wedding reception in October, 1981 at The Four Seasons in Georgetown. Here's his bio from the link above:
Edward L. Cohen
Principal Owner
Washington Nationals

Edward L. Cohen, who has lived in Washington, D.C. for almost 40 years, is a Principal of Lerner Enterprises, the largest private real estate developer in the Washington, D.C. area. He is also a Principal Owner of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Cohen has been a member of various corporate, charitable, and educational boards. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of The Weizmann Institute of Science and on the Board and Executive Committee of Junior Achievement of the Greater Washington Area.

I have only fond memories of Eddie, whose quick wit and thoughtful POV enlivened many an evening back in the day. I can remember his vintage Mercedes SLR vividly. Eddie always said his chief goal in life was to marry the daughter of a rich man and live like a prince. Good to see it happen to a nice guy like Eddie.

And wonderful to see all the good that he is doing in charitable work. Whenever I see Strasburg or Harper, I root the the Nats because of Eddie.
