Low-level doucherina Valerie Wilson goes to the courts, the last refuge of Democratic failed political causes, in a
lawsuit alleging her high-flying CIA prospects were maliciously thwarted by WH operatives trying to bring down her Kerry-consultant hubby, the showboating former Ambassador to Iraq.
Said Ambassador had his own flagging career chances aided and abetted when his nepotistic instincts required his wife's recommendation to send him to Niger to investigate Saddam's quest for uranium in that country.
Serial fraud ex-envoy Wilson neglected to mention in his reports the visit of the Iraqi Ambassador to the Vatican to Niger in 1999, ostensibly to investigate Catholic/Muslim relations in that sweltering hellhole! Christopher Hitchens has done a good job unmasking Wilson as a Trojan Horse for the Democrats and a washout as an investigator---a sort of Patrick Fitzgerald without ethics or operational skills.
While Joe Wilson was long regarded as a self-absorbed socialite who, an imposter as to regional or linguistic knowledge, coasted upward in the State Dept. by depending on social connections and slippery ethics---his record in the matrimony dept displays many different partners in and out of wedlock, perhaps a hangover from his earlier career as a ski bum.
Now his comely wife Valerie has decided to hop onto the merry-go-round of Vanity Fair celebritude, cashing in while solemnly bewailing her aborted career at mid-level altitude.
Even Democratic lawyer Jeffrey Toobin admits that the Plame dame's claims are frivolous, without merit as to injury or liability.
So the Wilson duo will keep playing the Mainstream Media, always avid for new angles to whinge and whine about the Bush Administration, regardless of the merits of the case. The MSM conjured the phony spurious Plamegate pseudo-event through the bogus Op-Ed the tabloid Times allowed Wilson to propagandize against the Bushies. Now it is concocting some sort of follow-on, with the usual anvil-chorus of treason-projecting prevaricators like Eric Alterman in the HuffnPuff Chronicles spewing the usual tommyrot to the usual rabid band of ninnies in the Lefty Peanut Gallery.
So more dead-tree blogospheric nonsense is in the offing re: The Treason Twins.
"Much have I seen and known; cities of men And manners, climates, councils, governments, ...the fortune of us that are the moon's men doth ebb and flow like the sea, being govern'd, as the sea is, by the moon" [Henry IV, I.ii.31-33] HISTORY NEVER REPEATS ITSELF, BUT IT OFTEN RHYMES "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America." Otto von Bismarck
