A phone-in from Georgia on C-Span's Washington Journal was specific in his complaints. If I heard right, he complained that he tried to join the Dems in his home-state, but his IQ tested out at 131 and he was deemed a troublemaker for questioning the wisdom of local Dem politicians. He opined that Dems don't like blacks with an IQ over 80!
Finally, this gentleman had done military service and was completely baffled by the mass media's exoneration of armed militants, [read 'terrorists'] who had been captured in battle without wearing a uniform. This fellow mused that editors and journalists don't know what they are talking about, never having worn a uniform or fought for their country.
He didn't mention Sen. Arlen Specter, but this mouthpiece could be included. BTW, does anyone else feel Specter reminds them of Howard Metzenbaum, who berated Sen. John Glenn for "never having had a real job," because the decorated war hero and astronaut hadn't cut his teeth selling used cars and loan-sharking like Metzenbaum had done in his unglorious career?
As for our black call-in from Georgia, Vox Populi, Vox Dei.
"Much have I seen and known; cities of men And manners, climates, councils, governments, ...the fortune of us that are the moon's men doth ebb and flow like the sea, being govern'd, as the sea is, by the moon" [Henry IV, I.ii.31-33] HISTORY NEVER REPEATS ITSELF, BUT IT OFTEN RHYMES "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America." Otto von Bismarck
