TNR: Lieberman a Good Shot For Re-election

Jacob Zengerle judges Joe Lieberman a good bet to get re-elected in the November general election. Poll numbers of voters exiting Tuesday's election are ambiguous, but indicate that 4 of 5 Democrats who voted for him will also do so in the Fall election. But bear in mind that the MSM, and Dems love the MSM, is going to bear down on Lieberman very hard:
If Lieberman can hold on to 80 percent of the people who voted for him yesterday--and no credible Republican challenger emerges--then I think he's got a very good chance of winning as an independent candidate in November. Of course, with the pummeling he's likely to take in the coming days, who knows how many of those Democratic primary voters who didn't object to an independent bid will still feel that way next week.

The Dem backstabbers in the Senate recall the Ides of March. But Joe will get his seat retained if he just hangs in there.

Remember how Jeffords of Vermont sold his soul for committee seniority back in 2000? The MSM didn't make a peep. But remember that the NYT and its pilot fish are in the tank for the ultra-lib left and that the agitprop from the MSM flagship will be Stalinist in its intensity.
