So George Bush is reading L'Etranger in English at the Crawford digs, presumably being reminded of his affection for the deceased French author by viewing Ali G, the French Formula One Nincompoop, in Talledega Nights.
Tony Snow commented about the Prez's eclectic tastes, but sooner or later, the
world of blogging will note that the movie featured Camus's book, and put GWB among the many roman a clef characters in the hilarious comic near-masterpiece.
Okay, am I the only guy who thinks Tony Stewart is parodied by the Ali G character?
"Much have I seen and known; cities of men And manners, climates, councils, governments, ...the fortune of us that are the moon's men doth ebb and flow like the sea, being govern'd, as the sea is, by the moon" [Henry IV, I.ii.31-33] HISTORY NEVER REPEATS ITSELF, BUT IT OFTEN RHYMES "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America." Otto von Bismarck
