NOW Targets Conservative Women

Another example of the self-referential quality of leftist multicultural gibberish comes in an article named
"Conservatives Need Not Apply" written by University of Virginia Law Student Karin Agness.

Karin exposes the insane solecism of the female gender studies infecting US colleges and universities across the country. Agness writes:

"Since the National Women’s Studies Association Conference is hosting a panel on how to deal with conservative young women on college campuses, such as the Network of enlightened Women (NeW), you would think that they would have invited a conservative young woman from NeW. One would think this indeed. But time and again, we must remember that the feminists aren’t always rational."

No, that would imply a dialogue, and the left wants power and control, so Agness's request to participate as head of NeW was curtly declined. The Chief Bi-yotch at the NWSA represents the bogus claptrap a perfesser for the Oprahfied at UVa named Ann Lane enunciates in her disdain to even read the NeW bylaws because the perfesser heard [falsely] that Lynne Cheney is involved:

"there are professors of women’s studies around the country who clearly do not understand the principles and goals of conservative women and make no effort to do so. In a June 12th TIME Magazine article, "What Would Ann Coulter Do", University of Virginia Women’s Studies professor Ann Lane showed this by saying, "I'm not opposed to the group's existence.—I just don't like it." She went on to say, "I particularly don't accept their premise that men and women occupy such culturally different spaces." The article continues, 'Lane, who hasn't read NeW's constitution, bases her opinion on Hoff Sommer's lecture and campus rumor. 'Someone told me that Lynn Cheney is a major contributor of theirs,' she says. Such hearsay, however, is wrong."

So Ann Lane PhD is an opinionated bigot. Seems to be the foundation of the oxymoronic field of women's studies nowadays. Agness finishes the article thusly:

"Ignorance pervades women’s studies departments. Feminists continue to complain about “good ol’ boys” clubs, but this Conference shows that they have created a "good ol’ feminists" club of their own. Women must carry the feminist banner to belong, and women with different views are rejected and ridiculed. What happened to the diversity feminists so value? What happened to the tolerance? Rather than engage in an open discussion on issues impacting women, feminists have attempted to muzzle conservative women in the same way they once claimed that men oppressed women through a system of patriarchy."

Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss.
