I just finished watching two History Channel offerings on Saddam Hussein, showing the bad results of first-cousin marriages over the long run......

Slate demonstrates the same principle as Editor Jack Shafer trashes several Fox Channel news programs on his “press box” forum while Troy Patterson torches Sen. John McCain for appearing in Kiefer Sutherland’s 24 and admitting that McCain is a “Jack Bauer type guy.”

Tut-tutting from the left demonstrating its usual incest---Slate is owned by an opposition cable network ---it is hilarious to see clueless left-wing [with the exception of always fair and balanced Mickey Kaus] MSM outlets trashing their opposition when Fox’s triumphant dominance on cable is prompting Rupert Murdoch to start STILL ANOTHER TV NETWORK to clean the left’s clock.

Of course, the ultra-left can always exult over its triumphs at the Academy Awards----all the while Hollyweird box office receipts plummet in a never-ending spiral!

As Mickey Kaus gleefully notices, the NYT is also tanking at the revenues department, as its overpriced TimesSelect draws only 156,000 paying customers.

Looks like the hypocritical left can’t win for losing!
