I have found that the Tea Party enthusiasts are almost invariably the best-educated and least-bigoted prospective voters that I've encountered in over twenty years of political work of one sort or another. Rather than being narrowly focussed on one or two issues, the TP folks are aware of a broad set of issues that concern our national security and future. And the TP folks don't fit into any cliched bit of lock-step party line----some are for cutting defense, for instance, and preserving most of the entitlements they've already paid for in many years of useful employment.
Rather than being the moochers and parasites that the Dems nurture on their plantations of minorities too poor or too neglectful to pay taxes, the Tea Party folks pay taxes and their bills. That's why they're so upset with the reckless borrowing of the USG that mortgages our children's future.
"Much have I seen and known; cities of men And manners, climates, councils, governments, ...the fortune of us that are the moon's men doth ebb and flow like the sea, being govern'd, as the sea is, by the moon" [Henry IV, I.ii.31-33] HISTORY NEVER REPEATS ITSELF, BUT IT OFTEN RHYMES "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America." Otto von Bismarck
