As a commenter from The American Conservative Party notes, the Alien & Sedition Acts tried to limit criticism of the government and the SCOTUS almost let the First Amendment get fried. Obama's mindless myrmidons in the vast Fed Govt may soon want to make us carry IDs and will forbid politics if it isn't within the narrow socialist guidelines set forth by the Won & Nancy/Harry's numbnut brigades.
